State Requirements
To Qualify for an Instructional Driving Permit you must;
Be at least 15 years of age
Complete 30 hours of Driver Education from a State Approved Program
Enroll with a State Approved Driving School (for an E-Card)
Provide two forms of ID; Primary and Secondary
Complete an Application and pay the Instruction Permit Fee
Pass the Vision Test and the Knowledge Test with a score of no less than 80%
Valid for 2 years
To Qualify for an Under 21 Class D License you must;
Be at least 18 years of age
Have had a Provisional License for at least 12 months with no violations
Complete an Application and pay the Class D Licensing Fee
Expires on your 21st birthday
To Qualify for a Provisional Driving License you must;
Be at least 16 years of age
Have had an Instructional Driving Permit for at least 6 months, with no convictions for moving related violations or alcohol/controlled substance violations
Have completed 6 hours of Behind-The-Wheel driving with a State Approved Driving School
Record 50 total ours of practice driving (15 of which must be at night) under adult supervision
Complete an Application and pay the Provisional License Fee
Pass the Vision Test and Pass the Road Test
Valid for 2 years
To Qualify for a full Class D License (Standard Drivers License) you must;
Be at least 21 years of age
Have had an Under 21 Class D License or an Instruction Permit for a minimum of 3 months
Pass the Road Test and Pass the Vision Test, and/or renew your previous license
Compete an Application and pay the Class D Licensing Fee
Must be renewed every 4 year
